A blog where I write about volcanic activity that goes on in the South Sandwich Islands relying principally on satellite images. I will also write about any earthquakes over the magnitude of 6 whenever they occur (using USGS Earthquakes as a primary source of information).

The South Sandwich Islands are a British Overseas Territory made up of uninhabited volcanic islands in the South Atlantic Ocean. They sit above a subduction zone on the edge of the Scotia Plate.
